Real Brides: Tara
All I had wanted in a wedding dress was for it to be backless, sleeved and lace. I tried on so many dresses that I thought would be “the one”. Each one brought a set of new problems- frumpy, not flattering, too sheer, too poofy, etc. I had just about given up on my search when my mother found this dress at Paradise Bridal in Patchogue, NY. The dress felt like an old friend- comfortable, classy, elegant and just enough bling- exactly what I had envisioned for my big day. I didn’t try on any more dresses after that, I knew I had found “the one”! After only a few minor alterations I knew it was meant to be. On the day of my wedding people kept saying my dress was “Princess Kate” worthy and how perfect it fit into my day. Paired with a beige fur it complimented my husband in black and bridesmaids in Hunter Green for our Thanksgiving Weekend wedding. I could not have imagined myself wearing anything else the day of my wedding and often wish I had another opportunity to wear the dress!
