Real Brides: Kayla
I met my husband through mutual friends and a college campus ministry organization called Chi Alpha. We had our first date to the movies followed up by a West Virginia University football game the next day...and the rest is history! After a year of dating we realized we wanted our relationship to last forever. After a two years of dating he popped the question, at a building on campus that we spent a lot of time together at the beginning of our relationship, surrounded by our best friends.
For my dress, I had thought I wanted a fit and flare style with a lot of beading and lace; absolutely no strapless and a ball gown just wasn't "my style". I tried on a fit and flare dress that I thought was the one but was rejected when my mom told me "you are not buying that dress, you didn't cry." Two shops later I fell in love with a dress just the opposite of what I thought I wanted. When I tried on this gown, I was apprehensive at first but as soon as it was pinned together, the tears began flowing. The ruffles were SO FUN, fit my personality perfectly, and I knew it was the dress I would get married in. The seamstress at Coni and Franc did an amazing job and the dress fit me perfectly by the time of my wedding day.
