Real Brides: Bianca
My husband and I are from south Texas, but we met in the green, pine tree filled mountains of Sacramento, New Mexico. We both grew up in the Methodist church and as teenagers attended the same summer camp for the Sacramento Methodist assembly. It wasn’t until 15 years later when we went back as camp counselors that we met for the first time. It was a week-long camp stay and Isaac was assistant camp dean. He had a big role. I was teaching a liturgical dance class to middle school and high school students. I went up there thinking I was just going to teach this class and help facilitate our youth group. I was so wrong! He got up on stage to welcome all the campers on their first night and the moment I saw him it
was over. It was like heaven opened up and God said, “Here he is!” Then a few seconds later our youth coordinator looked back at me and said, “That’s him Bianca. That’s the guy for you.” The moment was kind of surreal. It was like a movie. Before I knew it, we were making googly eyes at each other throughout the week. We were both really shy. Then the last day is where it really started. At our camp there is many traditions. One of them is called “Candy Grams.” Campers can purchase candy with a personalized note to a friend or a special someone. On the last day they are passed out to those who got one. I was sitting at the breakfast table with my
friends when all of the sudden I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn around and its Isaac! He leans in, places the Candy Gram on the table and says, “I thought I would give this to you in person.” It read, “I wish I could have had time to talk to you. Let me have a chance to change that and take you out some time. Here is my number.” I could feel my face turn scarlet red. The look on my friends’ faces is something I would never forget. On the ride back home, I text him and the rest was history. I got my Moonlight dress in McAllen Texas at Sposa Mia. I went in there knowing exactly what I wanted. The moment I saw the dress I knew it was the one. I tried it on,
and I was right. It was everything I wanted and more. The lace made it feel so feminine and romantic. The moment will be a treasured memory forever. Thank you Moonlight Bridal for making me feel like a fairytale princess.
