Real Brides: Emily

I began teaching at the same school Chad worked at in the Fall of 2016. We didn't work directly together so I didn't see him very often the first couple months I was teaching. In the Spring of 2017 after a few short conversations at various faculty meetings and school events, he asked me out for drinks stating he would pay only if I could guess which player he was in an old soccer picture hanging in the hallway from when he was in middle school. He was obviously the cute little blond boy smiling from ear-to-ear in the front row. I later found out that other co-workers had been encouraging him to ask me on a date since I was first hired. We went out for pizza and drinks and the rest is history...
After we were engaged, several of my close friends began sending me dress ideas they thought I would like. My best friend Paige sent a picture of one that had the deep V-back that I instantly fell in love with. I had previously seen a picture of a similar dress which also included a twist knot which I think added the perfect touch. I went dress shopping at White Lace and Promises in Knoxville, TN with my mother, my mother's best friend, and three of my closest friends and bridesmaids. I tried on several different styles of dresses because...why not get the whole experience! As soon as I put on "the one" I instantly walked out of the dressing room (I didn't wait for the dressing assistant to clip me up) and was ecstatic. It was exactly what I was looking for: classic, A-line, deep V-back with a high scoop-neck top, and simply perfect. I decided to add the twist knot on the back of the dress and it was my dream dress!
