Real Brides: Allie

Kevin and I actually met on Bumble in 2016. We planned our first date and he actually canceled on me the day of because 'his dog ate a sock' and he had to take him to the vet. I went to dinner with my friend instead and normally wouldn't have rescheduled with him, because it sounded like a bad fake excuse, but my friend and I had a couple margaritas at dinner and we decided I should give him another shot. He and I ended up going on our first date the next day and the rest is history. Also, knowing his dog now, it was actually a very valid excuse! Also, my friend who I went to dinner with was also my maid of honor and of course brought this story up in her speech at the wedding. 

My dress is actually a combination of two different Moonlight styles! I loved the lace and style of the bottom of one dress but was hoping for a different neckline & straps than that style had. I had a great bridal consultant and he let me know that he could reach out and see if I could get a custom dress, to which Moonlight graciously said yes! It was a bit stressful that I wasn't able to see the dress prior to ordering it and it being made but it was definitely worth it in the end. When I was finally able to try on my custom dress it just felt right and unlike any of the many dresses I had tried on; it just felt like me.
