Real Brides: Aida

My husband and I are both from Kosovo. We arrived in New Zealand as refugees in 1999 and met for the first time when we were six years old. We lived on the same street, and went to the same primary school! We loved each other from a very young age and officially started dating in our late teens. 

I found my dream dress while randomly scrolling through Instagram! I frantically ran to find my mum and told her this was the one! I noticed it was in America and I was all the way in New Zealand. As luck would have it, the dress was part of a bridal trunk show which meant it was going to be in Gold Coast, Australia! On the exact dates of the trunk show, my husband was going to Brisbane for a work trip which I was welcomed to also attend. Upon landing in Brisbane my mum surprised me by flying over and joining me to go a try on my dream dress so that I wouldn't be alone! I loved my dress from the moment I laid eyes on it. I felt so beautiful in it. Any advice for any brides to be - if you know you have found ‘the one’ make it yours! You wont regret it!
