I met my husband in the first month of our freshman year at the University of Notre Dame. He saw me reading my economics textbook and asked if I’d like to study together sometime. Since then, we’ve been through a long-distance abroad semester (me in London, Jimmy in Hong Kong), the first few years of an investment banking career, physical therapy school, seven Midwest winters, and a move to Chicago. But we’ve also had the chance to travel, go to concerts and music festivals (we have lost count of how many times we have seen Carly Rae Jepsen and we’re ok with that), and become regulars at the hot wings place near our apartment. I thank God every day for Jimmy and I’ve loved starting our married life together.
My wedding dress was the very first one I tried on at Mon Amie Bridal Salon in Costa Mesa, CA. I was home on a break from grad school and got the chance to go dress shopping with my mom and my sister (my maid of honor). The dress wasn’t anything like the pinned photos on my Pinterest board and I didn’t want to rush into the decision, so I kept shopping around and tried on other dresses at other stores. Ultimately I couldn’t stop thinking about the Moonlight dress and I’m so happy with my choice! I absolutely loved the lace sleeves, illusion back, and dramatic train and I know it will never go out of style. We got married in the Basilica on Notre Dame’s campus and even got to take photos on the football field. Thank you Moonlight for making me feel amazing on our wedding day!
