Real Brides: Rachel

Braden & I first met in 7th grade in 2005. We went to a small school and everyone knew everyone. We didn't become friends until 10th grade when we both joined the school golf team. Our friendship grew from there and by graduation in 2011 we were best friends. We went to different colleges, but we stayed in touch almost everyday. We became an official couple our sophomore year of college in 2013 and dated for 8.5 years before *finally* getting married in September 2021!

When I was on the hunt for a dress I knew that I wanted something flowy and fun and easy to move in. I ended up having three appointments at different shops and most of what I was trying on was itchy or restrictive or just "pretty, but I don't get *that feeling*". When I went into Irma's Bridal, Irma got my vision almost immediately. She gave me *my* dress on the second try. As soon as I put it on in the dressing room I knew that was it. It was so unique and beautiful. It was so flowy and let me move however I wanted. The material was so silky and comfortable that I was so happy I didn't settle for an itchy dress. When I walked out for my mom and sisters to see, they all loved it and I started crying. I knew that waiting for *that feeling* was worth it because I definitely felt it seeing myself in the mirror. I ended up having the top altered, because I love a high neckline. Irma did a beautiful job and everyone ended up loving my dress at the wedding. I felt so beautiful in it!
