Real Brides: Breanna
I met my husband, Trey, at Grand Canyon University during our junior year. We shared a lot of the same classes as we were both planning on going to physical therapy school after graduation. We quickly became really great friends for a few months until we hit it off on Halloween (2016) where we realized that we liked each other a bit more than friends; he was happy because he wasn't in the friend zone for too long! Almost six years later, happily married, share our adventure dog and are now both doctors of physical therapy!
I knew I needed to buy a wedding dress and that it needed to be white, but that was about it. I could never really picture myself in any wedding dress I saw online or while window shopping. Trey and I were planning on a very intimate, outdoorsy wedding where we asked 20 people, who were invited, to hike 1 mile to our ceremony location. I had only scheduled one appointment (at Adore Bridal) and had my mom, mother in law and best friend with me because I had no idea where to start. I gave a very general description of what I was looking for, "tight-fitted but could still move/dance, did not want sleeves or lace, light material." I tried on several dresses and really didn't love any of them or had what I was kind of looking for. The dress I chose was the second to last one I tried on and I absolutely loved the way it hugged my body and that it had some sparkles along the straps and low back trim. I loved showing off my skin! I also knew it was the one when all three of my guests went, "Oooo, Ahhhh, that's the one!" This dress was perfect because it was so simple and timeless; from the buttons to the sparkles. I know I will never regret choosing and wearing this dress on my special day!
