Real Brides: Kaylee
Our lives first crossed at Montana State University. Both of us graduated as Mechanical Engineering majors and shared many classes together over the years. During our sophomore year, I felt a tap on my shoulder during the middle of a lecture. A handsome young man was leaning over to me, asking if I wanted an old exam he had gotten his hands on. I happily accepted his offer and gave him my number so we could coordinate. A couple of days of exchanged messages lead to a first date, where we quickly realized just how much we had in common with one another; Our music tastes, our sense of humor, our love for sports, our families, and most importantly our faith. One date led into a few more, both of us very happy with the friendship we were building. We found that the timing wasn't right for a relationship, but remained as friends until we made it official during a summer internship a few years later.
I set up appointments at about 4 different bridal salons, knowing just how picky of a person I can be. Most shopping trips of mine take hours, so I expected Wedding Dress shopping to take even more searching. I arrived at Sweetheart Manor first with my mom, sister, aunt, cousin, and grandmother all cheering me on. I'm also a very organized person, and had done my online research and knew exactly which 4 dresses I wanted to try on at this shop. As we were walking in, I saw Style J6823 on a Mannequin and was instantly drawn to it. J6823 was one I had dismissed when I saw it's photos, but in person all I could think about was wanting to try it on. I tried the first 4 dresses and didn't feel like myself in them, and finally decided to try on J6823. I've always known I wanted a sparkly, poofy gown with tiered tulle, paired with a romantic element and something unique to make it stand out. J6823 brought me all the sparkles, flowy tiered skirts with a unique striped pattern that I had never before seen on a gown. The romantic swag sleeves were the perfect last touch that sent this dress over the top for me. The moment I tried on J6823 I knew that it was the one. I felt so confident in it, and couldn't believe that it had everything I ever wanted in a gown. Tears sprung into my eyes and my entourage was overjoyed with how I looked and felt in it! I said yes without trying another dress on. I ordered the dress in Ivory on Ivory and was beyond happy with my choice.
