Real Brides: Caitlin
My husband and I went to High School together. I was a grade ahead of him, but our school was a smaller rural school where everyone knew each other. We shared a comradely when I was a Junior and he was a Sophomore and we both ran cross country together. We both shared the situation of usually being last place for the guys and girls and that brought us together a bit. We had shared phone numbers, but also just shared a friendship at that time. We both graduated, went to college, and then both ended up back to a bit bigger of a town near where we grew up. Stranger things had just come out, and I hadn't really been interested in it, but started watching it and had shared something on social media about it. He shared a link, we went back and forth and decided we needed to rewatch season one together and share dinner before beginning season two together. From there, we shared a love of sharing meals and different shows together and it grew into then travelling, but meanwhile still remaining friends. Eventually, we decided we didn't want to spend life without each other and decided to make it official.
I had tried on a few dresses and they fit super well and were okay, but honestly I felt the fabric of this dress not sure it would even look "okay" on me. I was pretty open with trying on dresses and gave the consultant the reins of selecting what I would try on. As soon as I stepped in the dress and brought it up, I knew it was the one. Plus it had pockets. My sister was the only one I took dress shopping with me and it was not too soon after I stepped out of the changing room that she had some tears going and we confirmed it was the one for me. Simple, flattering, but elegant. I still love it. I added a little bling, but I couldn't have imagined our wedding day in any other dress. It is the most beautiful I've ever felt.
