Real Brides: Alyssa
On Halloween in 2015, my cousin and her boyfriend invited me to go to a Halloween party with them. I didn't know that they had invited their friend Grayson to go as well. I was dead set on not being in a relationship for a while, but that changed pretty quickly. I was a mermaid for Halloween that year and Grayson was a werewolf. He was super sweet and I couldn't resist talking to him when he gave me his number. We immediately started spending a ton of time together and here we are seven years later! We got married on Halloween, our seven year anniversary, in our favorite costumes yet. My wedding dress was more beautiful than I could've ever imagined.
I was originally searching for dresses in a completely different style than what I ended up going with. I came across the Moonlight Bridal website and absolutely fell in love with the dress I ended up going with. I was shocked because I thought I would go with something mermaid or trumpet style, but nothing could take my mind off of this dress. I quickly searched for bridal stores that had it, and I found Ferndale's Bridal in Orange County. I made an appointment to try it on, and they made the mistake of letting me try it on before any other dresses, haha! There were some other really beautiful dresses that I tried on, but nothing made me feel the way that MY dress did. I think I tried it on three different times that day. I knew the entire time that that was the dress for me. It made me feel like an ethereal fairy princess, and it went so well with our wedding venue. I was shocked that the dress was just as beautiful in person as it was in the photos.
