Real Brides: Catherine

Both of us are actors, based in Manchester, UK, an adoptive city for both of us as we come from different parts of the country. The Manchester Acting community is small, so we would often cross paths. One particular night out, we got talking to each other properly, Nathan was dragged on stage by a drag queen, who stripped his shirt off! A memorable way to really meet! A few nights after night we kissed under a full moon, and were inseparable from that day on. I only remember it was a full moon because I yelled, ‘LOOK AT THE MOON’ just before we kissed. 

I’d looked in a couple of shops, and nearly bought a dress, but wanted to wait 24 hours. Sean’s shop (Hugo & Elliot Bridal) was so lovely, I immediately felt like Royalty. A few dresses I really liked, but when I came out in my dress, my Mum’s jaw dropped. It was nothing like I imagined I wanted, but it was so unique, and I immediately felt amazing. I loved how the underlayers were a slightly different colour. Still, it wasn’t until I saw it a second time I feel utterly in love with it. I wish I could wear it everyday. I don’t remember this, but apparently our guests audibly gasped when they saw it!
