Real Brides: Sophie

It's a funny story of how I met my husband, Jake. So Jake and my sister Aimee were friends in School. My sister's partner Lewis and Jake have been best friends since being children. Jake and I always knew each other from this and we would talk at parties but one day he messaged me on good old Facebook and asked me out on a date, this was back in 2012 so we have now been together 11 years. Our first date was a walk around the park and since then we have been inseparable. I am 25 and Jake is 27 so it really is a case of being childhood sweethearts. 

I went into Luxe Bridal thinking I knew exactly what I wanted. This was something completely plain with no lace. I saw the Moonlight dress hung up and me and my sister looked at each other instantly and said "Wow that is stunning". I tried on a lot of dresses thinking I knew what I wanted but I started feeling deflated as I didn't feel like I had found one. I asked to try the Moonlight dress on. The second I put it on I knew it was the one, I didn't want to take it off. I adored the lace back and the long lace sleeves, I found it so flattering. What confirmed this was my mum and sisters' instant tears as I came out of the dressing room in the dress. It was the perfect combination of plain but gorgeous detail. I have never been a girly girl but the dress truly made me feel like a princess. I left Luxe Bridal and went to try on other dresses but all day nothing was comparing, I went straight back to the store and purchased the Moonlight dress. Nothing else was coming close to making me feel so beautiful. The quality of the dress is second to none. I have had so many compliments from family, friends and people who don't personally know me saying it is the most stunning dress they have seen in a long time.
