Real Brides: Mary Kate

My husband Thomas and I actually met through our moms. They grew up across the street from each other in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Thomas and I both moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, after our respective collage graduations, and they connected us. We’ve been together ever since.

I fell in love with my Moonlight dress as soon as my bridal consultant at Suite Bridal, in Atlanta, brought it around the corner. The vine embroidery felt new and fresh to me, and the ruffled layers of sparkly tulle just felt like me the second I put it on. I also loved how the embroidery complemented the beautiful surroundings of our venue, the Weaver House.
