Real Brides: Megan

I met Riley when he started working at the grocery store Albertson's I worked at while in college. During his first week, Riley was asked to help me bake chocolate chip cookies in the bakery department. I was immediately annoyed by the amount of talking Riley was doing compared to the cookies he was baking, so I quickly decided we were not suited for friendship. After an entire year, I offered Riley another chance at friendship -we made plans to attend a concert together. While driving there, Riley's car broke down (nearly making us miss the concert). Although I was annoyed by the mishap, we made an effort to see each other every day after. Since then, we have been together since November 2012, engaged in October 2021, and finally married on September 3, 2023.
Growing up as a Disney princess lover, I knew I wanted something that resembled a modern fairy tale: full of sparkle and romance. I was so focused on trying to find a glittery ball gown, that I didn't think about how texture and layers could provide me exactly what I was looking for. After trying several dresses on, my bridal consultant gave me a tiered ball gown that had a shimmery nude lining as a palette cleanser. The fun skirt, hidden glitter, and the botanical applique tied in perfectly to our garden party vision. I didn't want to take it off and refused to try anything else on, so I knew this dress was MY dress.
