Real Brides: Natalie

We met in the modern way—with a swipe! Michael said he knew the perfect spot for drinks, which was McMenamins Elk Temple in Tacoma, Washington… coincidentally, it was already one of my favorite places! Although the first five minutes were marked by an awkward hug and even more awkward conversation, the rest of the night was filled with boisterous laughter and effortless conversation between two people who felt like they had known each other forever. We both look back on that day and agree that it was the moment we knew we were meant for one another.
My mom flew in from Washington, and we visited three different bridal stores that day, eventually ending up at Mon Amie. The second dress I tried on just captured my heart—I couldn’t stop looking at it. Mind you, I didn’t think I would find my dress that day—I’m a perpetual overthinker. I hesitated to buy it right then because we had one more shop to visit, and they had a dress from my Pinterest board. But even after trying that one, I couldn’t stop thinking about the beading and sparkle of the dress at Mon Amie. So my mom and I went back, I put the dress back on, and I said yes to the dress!!
