Real Brides: Chelsea

We met at a mutual friend’s house party 9 years ago! He actually said to one of his friends (who was a school friend of mine and one of his groomsmen) when he saw me, "I’m going to date her one day." We got along right away (I liked him immediately), and he even proposed to me with a shoelace that same night, making us "fake" husband and wife. We hit it off with banter and cheekiness—two of his most prominent traits. A few months later, we were out with some friends when we sealed our first kiss. We didn’t officially start dating until about a year or so after that.
I had tried on quite a few dresses in the days leading up to finding "the one." I had an idea of the style I wanted and the style I didn’t. I was instantly drawn to the 3D embroidered flowers and became obsessed with the back detail. The slight mermaid silhouette and simple bodice were also quite flattering for my figure. It felt very me, and I just knew.
