Real Brides: Indigo
Eric and I met randomly through mutual friends. We started our relationship as friends, and over time, it gradually grew into something more. I like to think of it as our Monica and Chandler story—our love blossomed as our friendship deepened.
I feel incredibly lucky to have married not only the love of my life but also my best friend. Over the course of nearly 11 years together, we’ve navigated long-distance, college, and career changes. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner to share all those moments with.
I spent one day trying on dresses but struggled to feel that emotional connection with anything at the first bridal salon. When I visited the second shop, Ferndales, I felt more hopeful about finding the one.
As soon as I walked into the shop, I immediately noticed the dress. I had a vision of what I wanted, and as I described the dress and my venue, I even used this wedding dress as an example. Pointing to it, I said, “Like that one.”
I asked to try it on, and as soon as I did, I felt the moment. It was everything—the fit, the style, the intricate leaf beading, the sleeves! I turned to my mom and said, “This is it. I’ve finally found it.” I didn’t even want to try on other dresses.
I especially loved the optional sleeves, which perfectly matched my vision. This dress made me feel so beautiful, and even more so on my wedding day.
