Real Brides: Ramona
On a sunny Sunday, March 24, 2019 Ramona was hiking when Ty agreed to grab a beer with her at Independent Brewing Co. in the town of Bel Air, MD. Little did Ty realize Ramona was 90 minutes away from him before he agreed to said beer, but he got in his truck with his trusty pup Sterling. Ramona went on the date that would change her life forever.
Ramona fell in love with Sterling immediately and already knew there was something very special about Ty. Ramona's dog Mowgli was at home and Ty offered to get Mowgli so they all could all go to Rock State Park for a hike all together.
They arrive at the Rocks and Ty was wearing a pair of Sperrys so Ramona looks at Ty before the hike and says, Are you sure you're okay to walk in those shoes? Ty proceeds to chuckle at Ramona's remark while telling her, Oh. Yes. I actually hiked Machu Picchu in these shoes.
Ramona found an adventurer.
Ty and Ramona did long distance throughout 2019 and once the world shut down in 2020, Ty's roommate Jess was kind enough to let her hunker down throughout March - May. Then Ramona moved into her studio apartment in Alexandria with Mowgli! Ty drove the U-Haul, helped pack, unpack, move furniture, yaddi yadda.
One year and many memories later, Ty and Ramona moved into an apartment together in Herndon, VA. They added another pup to the crew to make it three pups, Sterling, Mowgli, and Saki.
After a year of living together, Ramona and Ty knew they were going to be together forever. They were ready to make a next step and buy a home!
They found a charming home in the Shenandoah Valley with a babbling creek and a yard for the dogs to live their best lives. They moved in February 12, 2022 with the help of their parents, siblings, and friends. Ty and Ramona loved watching their families come together and are forever grateful for their support always.
Fast-forward through new careers, new obstacles, birthdays, holidays, cookouts, and everything in between to June 5, 2023.
On a Monday in Winchester, Ty Trobridge asked Ramona Schueler to be his future wife. She had a feeling something was happening because Ty not only changed his shirt five times but also kept his hand in his pocket and had a nervous sparkle about him.
Ty asked in the most romantic way and Ramona cried, screamed, rolled down a hill and screamed YES!!!
I booked my bridal appointment at Love Couture in Potomac, Maryland. I sent them my Pinterest board and mentioned I was looking for sparkles, beads, tulle, a blush undertone, open back, and a sweetheart neckline. The first dress I tried on was the one. The floor dress was never tried on by anyone else and it fit me perfectly so I got to leave with it that day. It was truly meant to be. I had my mom, sister, and my future mother and sister in law with me too. It was an amazing day finding the dress of my dreams!
